Therapy with equestrian involvement helps to unlock blocked emotions and enhance the process of healing in a way that surpasses traditional therapy in an office setting.

Our Goal

Stables 4 Jed provides the space and tools necessary for a dual approach to emotional healing by pairing the services of a licensed mental health therapist and a horse handler in therapy sessions. The licensed therapist will incorporate interactions between the individual and the horse in conjunction with traditional counseling services for grief therapy.

Stables 4 Jed will provide an outlet to help people navigate one of the darkest parts of this world, death.

Our Services

Our initial goal was to focus on the loss of a loved one, but we have come to realize that loss and grief encompass so much more than just the loss of a person.

Therefore, we will expand our focus to other types of loss and associated grief, such as: the effects of divorce on adults and children, job loss, financial loss, etc.

The loss of a loved one can profoundly affect the mental health of those left behind. Family members, friends, and others who shared a relationship with the deceased may experience intense emotions that alter their mental and physical well-being.

Our goal primarily was to focus on the loss of a loved one but soon realized that loss and grief encompass so much more than just the loss of a person. We will focus on all types of loss (loved ones, finances, jobs, loss from divorce, etc.) and the effects it has on people (depression, anxiety, mood changes, anger, etc.)

Horses are highly sensitive to human emotions and react to our body language and non-verbal cues. Interactions with these gentle and intuitive creatures are known to help people rebuild trust and process difficult emotions in a non-verbal way.”
